About Anne Marie
Anne Marie has been a registered nurse since completing her nursing degree in 1983. In her early career, she worked primarily in mental health nursing and counseling. In 1997, she earned a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Lewis and Clark College. Her nursing and counseling career includes a wide variety of professional work in hospitals, clinics, treatment centers, insurance carriers, and contractors.
In 2001, after the birth of her daughter, Anne Marie decided to pursue advanced practice nursing credentials with a specialty in women’s health and gynecology.
Motivated by a desire to provide compassionate care for women throughout their lifespan, Anne Marie earned a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Wyoming in 2005. In 2006, she earned a certificate in Women’s Health from Drexel University/Planned Parenthood Federation of America with further clinical training at Planned Parenthood and a private OB/GYN in Eugene.
Anne Marie passed the national certification exam with high scores and became board certified as a Women’s Healthcare Nurse Practitioner in 2006. She was inducted as a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing in recognition of her achievements in nursing education. In 2007 she became a North American Menopause Society certified clinician.
Anne Marie’s professional interests include health promotion, sexual health concerns, hormone imbalances and menopausal mid-life changes.
Anne Marie is pleased to offer health care to women in the Eugene community. Among her professional goals is being able to spend the time that is necessary to discuss her patient’s concerns, perform thorough exams, and formulate a treatment plan in partnership with her patient’s needs and personal goals for health.
Anne Marie’s personal interests include spending time with her family, traveling, gardening, horses, and working on her family’s hobby farm.
